Simple & Fast Faucet Repair & Installation

Faucets are important plumbing fixtures that everybody owns. Purely from a hygiene perspective, you’ll want to make sure these are functioning perfectly at all times. Otherwise, you’ll have to deal with dirty dishes, dirty hands, and even dirty bodies till you can get your faucet repaired so everybody can use them again.

Luckily, we at the Plumbing Squad are trained to fix any and all faucet problems you have, 24/7. Just take a look below to see exactly what we can do in regards to your faucet repairs, installations, and anything else to do with faucet appliances.

Home Faucet Repair & Installation

There are two main types of appliances we do faucet repair and installations for:

  • Kitchen Faucets
  • Bathroom Faucets

Kitchen faucets get a lot of usage from dishwashing, cleaning vegetables, and hand washing as well. So naturally, it’s to be expected that a little wear and tear will occur, leading to leaks or worse.

It’s the same with bathroom faucets as well. From showers, to washing hands, to taking baths, bathroom faucets don’t see any less use than a kitchen faucet. But a small leak in any of these will lead to immediate water bill increases and possible water damage as well.

However, not only is the Plumbing Squad trained in assessing and fixing kitchen and bathroom sinks, they can make sure new fixtures are installed perfectly so you don’t have to worry about leaks at all.

Outdoor Faucet Repair

In addition to indoor faucets, we also repair outdoor ones as well. These faucets are no different when it comes to leaks, floods, or water damage, and problems should be immediately dealt with. On top of which, outdoor faucets are susceptible to cold winter months, and the piping could be damaged during these times. This could easily lead to leaks or even burst pipes, costing you in both water bill AND water damage restoration. But we can make sure neither of those things happen if contacted before these problems ever get out of hand.

Commercial Faucet Repair

Even for small-businesses, a commercial building faucet tends to experience far more traffic than at-home ones. So it’s no surprise when The Plumbing in these buildings uses thousands of gallons of water per day, which leads to faster breakdown and more leaks because of it.

So it’s practically impossible to DIY your plumbing due to immense usage of these facilities. Instead, let our trained plumbers get to the bottom of any faucet problems you have so you can focus on your business instead. This way you can save on time and energy instead of dealing with plumbing problems that do nothing for your bottom line.

Faucet Repair & Installation FAQs

In this section, you will find some of the most frequently asked questions we hear about our Faucet Repair & Installation service.

What’s the process to change a faucet?

To begin you’ll need multiple tools, including a screwdriver, pliers, and a bucket and towels as well. But before you get started, make sure to turn off the water supply beneath the sink. This will prevent any watery mishaps that’ll make your job harder than it already is. Next, make sure you’ve got the manufacturer’s instructions on hand, and do your best to follow them to the letter. You’ll want to put aside a few hours for this project at a minimum, especially if you’re new to replacing faucets.

If this sounds like too much effort and time to you, our trained plumbers can get the job done in roughly half an hour with zero work on your part.

How do you know if a faucet needs to be replaced?

Start by looking at your faucet first – is there any mineral buildup on it? A quick glance should make this clear, so take note of anything you see. Now, start playing with the faucet. How smoothly does it turn when you use it? If it’s stiff or loose, make a mental note of it. Finally, observe how the water flows out of it. It should come out easily and consistently, with little sputtering of any kind. There also shouldn’t be any leaking from any part of the sink. Again, take note of any issues. Oh, and take age into account as well. If you experience any of these problems AND your sink is reaching double digits in age, you’ve got a good set of reasons to replace your faucet.

Should I install a new faucet on my own?

If you’ve determined that your sink needs to be replaced, should you do it on your own? Well, if you already have plenty of experience replacing faucets, then you might be okay. However, as with any job involving plumbing, the chance for error in this department is high without professional training. And unfortunately, the consequences can be rather expensive for even small mistakes.

Plus, in some cases, you won’t have specific tools to handle the project on your own, making faulty installation more likely. So even if you feel confident, you’re much better off just letting one of our skilled plumbers bring the knowledge and training required to 100% handle your faucet project – with little chance of mistake at all.

When should a professional plumber be called in to fix a leaky faucet?

If you do want to DIY a leaky sink, it’s best done for simple projects like replacing old and worn down washers and gaskets. For the most part, you should be able to handle this on your own if you carefully do it.

However, if there are leaks, pipes, or water pressure issues you’re dealing with, you’ll want to immediately get a professional plumber on the phone to fix it. And that’s because if these aren’t properly dealt with, you could land yourself in a worse situation than before. A temporary fix may trick you into believing you’ve permanently fixed things. But you won’t realize a problem till you’ve got a huge water bill or extensive water damage to pay for.

Basically, beyond the most basic things mentioned earlier, you’ll want to get a skilled plumber in the mix to get things fixed quickly and safely.
